Case Study - New Moon Coaching

Background

New Moon Coaching is a personal business run to provide coaching services to individuals and groups alike, from one on one coaching sessions to corporate commissions.

The client has worked in the healthcare sector for many years acquiring substantial experience and qualifications. Amongst these is N.L.P. (Neural Linguistic Programming), which the client has developed and found of particular use in the field of coaching.

Coaching is not dissimilar to counselling, however it looks at the issues with a different perspective. Counselling looks at issues, predominantly in the past, and seeks to find ways of dealing with them, whereas coaching focuses on the future, on strengths, on what and how to achieve and move life forward.

Brief

The client wanted to freely offer information and advice in the first instance, that would provide leads to coaching sessions for all types of client.

Complete creation from scratch the logo, branding, design and layout based on a purple colour as selected by the client.

One requirement was a free document to be available for site visitors to download via request on a contact form, with links to it from all pages.

The client had hand written content for the site that needed to be typed, edited, uploaded and proof read for errors. Additional content, as required to be sourced by us.

The client wanted the website to compliment blogging activity via a linked blog intended to be the main source of marketing which would assist in driving traffic to both website and blog, in turn leading to commissions.

Solution

As the site content was destined to be relatively static, no database was needed to contain all the sites information, therefore a template would be created where content can be added and altered very easily.

For the branding and logo the emblem used was the Irish triple spirals of life, chosen for their appearance in many cultures often representing three faces of the goddess - maiden, mother and crone. It also represents transitions in life, before, now and after. The image was created and resized to be used in numerous ways, not just the logo for the site but also used as smaller icons for bullet points, text decoration and an icon in the top of the browser bar.

As previously mentioned, the client had stipulated a purple coloured theme, so to that end all the different elements of the site were co-ordinated together. From the logo to the submission form, to the text changing colour when it is a link, all the colours revolved around the central main colour of purple.

A document was created using the P.D.F. (Portable Document Format) format, due to its small file size and ease of attaching to emails. As a combination of marketing strategy and an effort to reduce spammers and other hackers, the P.D.F. document was to be available on request via a submission form. This allows the client the opportunity to open dialogue with the site visitor encouraging following the blog, signing up for a newsletter, or indeed signing up for coaching sessions.

A large part of the solution is in providing on going customer care. This means we take care of and attend to the behind the scenes side of the website (giving the client the opportunity to focus on what they do best!) For example the hosting, domain renewal, and adjustments or amendments to the site, for example changing some text, updating information, adding further content (as agreed).

Results

Since going live the site has attracted a number of visitors which has produced a number of enquires and some coaching sessions. A number of requests have been received for the P.D.F. document.

In conjunction with the blog, both are assisting each other in driving and increasing traffic and potential leads.

The website has also caught the attention of a number of other businesses who have not only complimented the client on their website but also asked for our details!
